I'm a little late posting this as catching up from 12 days off work has been a little overwhelming! But those days off spent with family are worth all the time spent sorting files, making phone calls, and laundry! :)
Well let's get right to it! Once again, this year Cole and I went to Cocoa Beach, Florida. My first surprise for Cole - we had a stowaway on our flight! Spiro the dragon!
Once we arrive in Florida, we met my mom and her best friend Kathy. We stayed in a beautiful condo directly on the ocean! My main goal was to just relax and spend time with my family. Cole loves to swim, jump the ocean waves, play board and card games, and putt-putt golf. We did all those things and this year we did experience something new - we stopped in the Kennedy Space Center and watched the rocket launch for SpaceX. This was the 16th rocket launch in 2023!
Cole and I decided on the next spring break adventure we will be visiting a whole new place! We love sunshine and the beach, but we want to experience much more!
Now on to Cade, my world traveler!!
This was Cade's 2nd trip overseas! He saved and planned a trip to Belfast, Ireland. Our cousin, Mylie, and her husband live over there.
After an 8-hour flight, a small hiccup with immigration, and 2-hour bus ride, he arrived! Mylie had pre-planned a few activities, but they ultimately let Cade pick the itinerary! They visited a few museums, a theater performance, took a 8-hour bus tour around Northern Ireland, and much more! Cade enjoyed the entire week, but his favorites included the board game store (which he visited and purchased items twice), the Giant's Causeway (picture below), and Prison Island (think of an escape room but a whole building with puzzles, physical obstacles, and much more)!
I have no doubt, Cade will travel overseas again. I said many years ago, he will shine his light all over the world and I cannot wait to see and hear about each experience!
Now, I must get back to phone calls, client files, and more laundry!
