Why you should call your agent during AEP!

Updated: Oct 3, 2023

It's that time again, the Annual Enrollment Period!

What is AEP?

The Annual Enrollment Period happens each year from October 15 to December 7. This is when all people with Medicare can change their Part D or Part C (aka Medicare Advantage) plans for the following year. Each year Part D and Part C plans can make changes to premium, drug formularies, network providers, and more.

Why is this so important?

This is your one opportunity to review current coverage and ensure it still meets all your needs. For example, if your doctor prescribed a new medication over the past year, maybe a new plan covers it at a lower copay than your current plan.

Why should you call a local agent? Specifically, WC Insurance Solutions!

You can go online to Medicare.gov and view all options, but why would you want to when I will do that for you. My services are provided at no cost to you. Plus, I will be your first point of contact when you need assistance or have any questions. I will be your personal Medicare Specialist. When you go online to Medicare.gov or call the 1-800-MEDICARE phone line, you won't ever talk to the same person twice.

I do not offer all plans available, but I will still cost compare all available plans! If I don't offer that certain plan, I go online to Medicare.gov with you to enroll you in the plan. I will share why my company is not contracted with the private insurance company or it may be the company doesn't work with independent insurance agents.

If you are reading this blog, you are most likely a current client of WC Insurance Solutions. But if you are not, call your current agent - they should be providing you with the same information. I'm not out to take clients from other agents, but if you are wanting a second opinion from me, all I ask is that you let me know you currently have an agent. You will get the same personalized and exceptional service, but I will likely ask you to reconnect with your current agent. If you are unsatisfied with your current agent, we can discuss why and how I may be able to help you.
